Welcome!

Welcome to the first blog entry of my new adventure! At least, I hope it's an adventure. I've decided to put my annoying grammar fixation, English skills, and organization obsession to good use. Here, you will find information for my one-on-one Writing 2 Inspire program, tutoring options, and yearly testing help. Check below to learn more!

  • Writing 2 Inspire: homeschool students will enroll in a nine week writing course that will be designed to fit each student's individual needs. Essays, book reviews, literature analyses, and weekly discussion questions will be just some of the assignments given, with a focus on the six traits of writing. Bi-weekly face-to-face conferences will give both student and teacher a clear focus on what has been accomplished and what is to come.
  • Tutoring: Looking for just a little boost in your child's writing skills? Tutoring session can be scheduled for 45 minutes, 60 minutes, or 90 minutes of one-on-one help. It's often difficult for someone who doesn't specialize in English to know how to assess his or her child's writing skills, so this is a great opportunity to find your child's strengths and improve his or her weaknesses. No group tutoring sessions available, unless it is a literature analysis/discussion or social studies session.
  • Testing: Yearly assessments help parents understand what their children have accomplished during the year. In order to test, the tester must have at least a Bachelor's Degree and understand all rules regarding testing, including age/grade-specific tests.
